Due to the soft trail conditions, the bikers will have a new Route this year. I'll be publishing it soon (couple hours). It will consist of ONLY high traffic snow machine trails (Heritage Trial) supplemented by low volume county gravel roads. Distance will still be 62 miles (100 km).
This will also put the bikers on the sheltered roadways and trail where there will be little effect of the wind-chill. Will be a good race... with the new route I’d expect over half to be able to finish.

Lance do you know how heritage is looking? Or was the knee deep snow on heritage? I would think that a lot of people would be out on snow machines today as it seems pretty nice out.
The knee deep stuff was on the private trails that we used the first two years. Heritage didn’t look near as bad and has 3x’s the traffic (will ride some of it tonight and then in the morning) will post new maps with the alternate road sections. These sections will be used if average speed on MY Friday night Saturday morning ride is less than 7 mph.
