Its done! The ultimate 28.1 lbs Snow Bike...

Sam at FFB finished the early modifications on my Arrowhead Ultra Frankenbike. While there are still a number of planned modifications, (new extra wide custom rear disk wheel with stardrive engagement - being the major one). I'll give an update on my first ride tonight. Plan is to ride about 4-5 hours on the snowmobile trails and open snow.

I'd love to see how you got a rear tire in that Trek. DJ of the Clif Bar crew did that event last year and would probably be willing to share some real life experiences from his first attempt.

Scooter, It’s not the 4.0 Endomorph.... but its laying down a solid 2.5"+ of rubber. I rod the new ride last night and in 3.5 hours covered twice the distance I had with my standard setup... its fast (as far a snow bike go) and at 28.1 lbs complete its light.

Wait till you have to load it up with all that stuff you are required to carry. I'd like to know that weight. I won't even tell you what DJ's bike weighed. I lifted it 2 days before he was off to MN and I think I got a hernia.

It will be over 65 lbs loaded! I already have some gearing mods planned.
